Marine Terminal Superintendent

The Port of Grays Harbor is recruiting a detail-oriented and technical, experienced leader to manage the Port’s bulk loading facilities and marine cargo operations.  Duties include efficient operation of marine terminal and cargo yard activities; enforcing a safety culture; working directly with Port maintenance & security personnel, ILWU labor, railroad personnel and industrial tenants; maintaining inventory and regularly inspecting equipment.

The Marine Terminal Superintendent is the general assistant to the Marine Terminals Manager and works closely with the Facility Safety Officer.  The majority of working hours for this position are expected to be swing shift (3 PM to Midnight).

Security Officer

The Port is recruiting a Security Officer to join our team.  Provides security services, controlling access and monitoring the Port’s marine terminal shipping complex.  Must be able to understand, follow and enforce homeland security procedures for busy industrial waterfront facilities.  Essential to communicate well with customers, staff, marine transportation workers, public safety agencies. Will need to obtain TWIC (tsa.gov/for-industry/twic) and maintain a current Washington Driver’s License.   Requires sitting for long periods, monitoring video screens, observation and detection, and making reports.  Rotating shifts, days, nights, weekends, holidays.  Hours and shifts depend on cargo yard activity. 

$25.00/hour plus benefit package.
