Port of Grays Harbor and Satsop Business Park announce summer public tour dates

May 2016 – Ever wonder what is stored in the eight silos behind Home Depot? Do you know what the two largest industrial buildings in Grays Harbor look like? Your opportunity to answer these questions is happening again this summer with the Port of Grays Harbor public tours and Satsop Business Park walking tours. The summer tour program offers the public a first-hand look at the marine terminals and industrial properties that support thousands of jobs in Grays Harbor.

The popular hour and a half marine terminals tour will begin with a brief overview presentation of Port history and current happenings, followed by a bus tour, courtesy of Channel Point Village, of the surrounding industrial properties and marine terminals in the Aberdeen and Hoquiam area. The tour will be offered on July 19th at 6:30am and 3:30pm, on July 28th at 3:30pm and 5:30pm, and on August 17th at 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Additional dates may open up later in the summer if needed.

The guided walking tours at Satsop Business Park offer an excellent way to explore the unique assets the Park has to offer including the cooling towers, tunnel training facility, warehouses, and office buildings. Walking tours will be offered on Thursday, August 4th at 3:30pm, and again on Tuesday, August 16th at 5:30pm. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required for this tour.

Reservations are required for both tours, as space is limited. To reserve your spot, or for more information, call (360) 533-9528.
